WRCIC accepts proposals for presentations for their annual Conference
The conference will take place in Kansas City, MO, on May 3-5, 2027.
Helpful guidance for submissions: WRCIC is looking for creative and stimulating sessions that provide relevant and germane ideas significant to today’s captive insurance industry and those that consider the captive industry's future.
The 2027 theme is “Captives at the Crossroads: Connect. Learn. Lead.”
While all presentation proposals are welcome, the 2027 Planning Committee is particularly interested in presentations highlighting the valuable role of captives to address the challenges of newly emerging risks, coverage availability/affordability, increasing deductibles and regulatory scrutiny. Topics are not limited to, but could include:
Accounting and tax considerations compared to other program structures
IDR strategies – dealing with audits
Cyber related exposures
AI related updates and opportunities
Climate change related exposures
Wind/hail property exposures
Governance and operations demonstrating characteristics of insurance
Reinsurance pools
Submissions should include the following:

Concise and descriptive title

Summary of pertinent and unique content (no more than 100 words). Session content to be educational in nature without promotional logos or to promote a specific product that a service provider may have.

List of proposed panelists. Panels should include no more than three speakers, and we encourage submissions to include diverse panels in gender, race, and/or ethnicity, where possible. Preference will be given to panels with at least one captive owner.
Submission deadline:
The submission deadline for the 2027 conference is February 20, 2027.
